Brooke Richart, M.Ed,
LPCC

Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor

Brooke works with clients ages 10-25 with issues like anxiety, depression, ADHD, school difficulties, peer challenges, or family conflicts.

Brooke spent the first decade of her career as a middle school teacher, specializing in teaching students with learning disabilities and ADHD. She utilizes her knowledge and experience to help advocate for her clients and collaborate with school professionals and parents. She graduated from Xavier University’s Clinical Mental Health Counseling program in 2022. She interned with a behavioral health team within a pediatrician’s office during graduate school in Northern Kentucky and continues to work there part-time. Counseling with Brooke opened its doors in 2025.

Brooke takes an eclectic approach to supporting her clients. She has completed intensive training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and has found that kids and teens respond positively and feel empowered by ACT. Brooke is an ADHD-certified clinical services provider; she’s run ADHD parent support groups and worked with schools to initiate accommodations. She has a special focus on executive function skills and helping clients gain an understanding of how their mind works. Brooke also integrates elements of play therapy into her practice as well as crafts and fiber art. She also utilizes bibliotherapy (or book therapy) often, for both parents and clients, either to expand our understanding or see ourselves reflected in literature. She incorporates mindfulness techniques into sessions and provides psychoeducation about emotional regulation (she is a former teacher, after all).
